What is Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® (AIKD)?
It is a day designated to honor our nation's youth. Adults and teens are asked to write letters of encouragement and inspiration. It is a simple, meaningful way to let youth know how much they are appreciated.

When is AIKD?
It is held annually on the third Thursday in March.

Why does Camp Fire sponsor this event?
Camp Fire wants to honor youth! AIKD is a reminder to let youth know how important they are.

What is the goal of AIKD?
We want every child in America to receive a letter. Just imagine the impact of encouraging letters in lunch boxes, on pillows, and tucked into backpacks!

How can I participate?

1.  Write a letter to a child for delivery on March 21, 2013. It can be someone in your life, a Camp Fire kid, or any child who wouldn’t otherwise receive a letter. Use our special stationery or pick your own paper. Check out our letter-writing tips.

2.  Donate to support Camp Fire’s programs for local absolutely incredible youth. Your tax-deductible donation will send Camp Fire kids to camp this summer and help with outreach to homeless youth.

3.  Spread the news about AIK Day and Camp Fire on Facebook, Twitter, and other social network sites. You can also tell friends, family, and coworkers in person!
