  2011 Mystery Trip

The Mystery Trip is a special party for high level candy sellers. Members eligible to attend are given the date and time, but the location is always a secret until they are actually on the road. All youth who sold over 300 units were invited on the Mystery Trip. This year we took a day trip to Seattle where we rode the monorail, went to the Experience Music Project – including playing in our own rock band, enjoyed playing outside at the Seattle Center, had a big pizza lunch and finished the day going up the Space Needle!

2010 Mystery Trip

The 2010 Mystery Trip, held on  April 24, 2010, took the group to Tacoma Glass Blowing for a class and hands-on glass blowing experience. 

Each youth got to pick one of 10 different shapes as well as the colors and design they wanted for their finished project. Some chose to keep their colors separate and they lined them up to form stripes of color, and some chose the colors they wanted and then mixed them all together. One person chose to combine the two techniques. 

Then it was into the Hot Shop. Wearing protective gear each person was able to heat, shape, color and blow their glass into the shape they wanted. 

The glass has to cool (starting in a 900 degree oven) for 24 hours so we had lunch at Red Robin and the kids were able to pick up their projects the following day. They are beautiful!
