HANDOUT AVAILABLE FROM HANDS-ON WORKSHOP

On February 26, former Camp Fire girl Barbara White provided council members with a hands-on workshop on how to create artwork from recycled materials. According to reports, and judging from the photographs taken at the scene, a great time was had by all.

National Art Competition entries are due at the Council office by March 26th. Click here to download a Competition Entry Form, which includes the Project Record Sheet and Entry Sheet which should be turned in with each entry. If you have any questions, please contact Rebecca for more information.

If you were not able to attend the workshop, click on the following link to download the handout with suggestions and photos that Barbara so generously provided:

Camp Fire's mission: to build caring confident youth and future leaders. Camp Fire is for Everybody! The Club program helps kids:
  • One way that Camp Fire fulfills this mission is through Club—its flagship program.

  • Caring adult volunteers guide and mentor youth in small groups.

  • Youth learn life skills by doing projects, taking on leadership roles and planning group activities; as youth mature, they take increasing control of their club's leadership.

  • The Club Program is open to boys and girls ages 3 to 21.

  • Membership is $20 per year plus weekly or monthly dues as established by the individual club.

  • Learn to plan and make decisions.

  • Work and play together.

  • Practice skills related to their specific interests.
