Thank you, drivers—you're terrific!

Camp Fire USA Orca Council takes part each year in a unique fundraising event called the Convoy. Under Washington State Patrol escort, Camp Fire volunteers drive a convoy of Japanese military vehicles from the Port of Tacoma to  Yakima, Washington. Several weeks later, the volunteers are bussed to Yakima to bring the vehicles back again.

Through these efforts, Camp Fire's dedicated volunteers raise tens of thousands of dollars each year to support Camp Fire's youth programs. The amount varies depending upon the number of vehicles driven. There is usually a wide range of vehicles, however all of them have manual transmissions and the steering wheel is on the right side of the vehicle. A CDL license is required for the larger vehicles only.

To learn more about driving in the Convoy, call (253) 597-6234 or e-mail info@campfireusaorca.org.

If you would like to drive in the Convoy, click here to download a Driver Application form. Please complete the form and fax or mail to us as soon as possible.
