Convoy 2008 |

For the past 10 years, Camp Fire USA Orca Council has held a unique fundraising event called the Convoy. Under Washington State Patrol escort, Camp Fire volunteers drive 45-50 Japanese military vehicles from the Port of Tacoma to the Yakima Firing Range. Then, about two weeks later, the volunteers return to Yakima to bring the vehicles back again. Through these efforts, Camp Fire's dedicated volunteers raise nearly $30,000 each year to support Camp Fire's youth programs. In 2008, the Convoy was bigger than ever. We had 100 vehicles and made three trips and raised about $60,000 for Orca's programs.
