The Wohelo Award: Camp Fire USA's Highest Honor

On Saturday, October 2, 2004, seven members of Orca Council's Ami Li To ("Friends Forever") club received their Wohelo Medallions. They are: Kathy Griffin, Courtney Knauss, Chelsea Meints, Christelle Reyes, Victoria Reyes, Kelly Strand, and Jen Wheeler.

One of the projects which the girls participated in was Team Up for Sara, an effort to help save the life of classmate Sara Shuckhart, who was suffering from Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Their work won a national award in Colgate-Palmolive's 30th Anniversary search for the country's best community projects by young Americans. Click on each girl's name to read more about their individual accomplishments.
